This trivitattus originates from lowland rainforest regions of the Lower Rio Huallaja. As far as the many different populations of 3-striped trivs go this one is a slightly smaller form, with yellow -yellow /green stripes. Interestingly on many specimens the mid dorsal stripe may be broken resulting in a frog with a somewhat spotted dorsum.

E. hahneli is a widespread frog throughout Peru, from the Amazon basin extending westward into highland regions. The hahneli form we are currently offering originates in the lowland white sand rainforest region of Iquitos. A small, yet robust Epipedobates, very hardy and like most Epipedobates a fantastic communal species.

From the infamous Hualluga Canyon hails this big impressive triv with three apple green stripes. The classic three stripe trivitattus. Provided with a spacious terrarium these trivs can be quite bold, and entertaining. Adult males frequently vocalize, especially just after the lights come on in the morning. An excellent communal frog.
