Ceratophrys stolzmanni are coming soon! Please join our mailing list for updates.
We are happy to announce that once again we will be shipping to Dutch Rana. Our first shipment to Rana is planned for September 2012. We encourage all interested hobbyists to contact Rana for availability and prices.
Not only will Rana be distributing Understory’s inventory of captive bred Ranitomeya, Ameerega, Dendrobatids and Mantella, they will also begin working collaboratively with UE to help facilitate the acquisition of WIKIRI produced frogs for European hobbyists. For those not familiar with this wonderful, pioneering Ecuadorian endeavor please visit their website. They offer a fantastic array of species from the dwarf pacman frog Ceratophrys stolzmanni to the rare and highly sought after Oophaga sylvatica. All WIKIRI frogs are either farmed under strict controls or bred in laboratory condition in Ecuador. WIKIRI is firmly rooted in conservation, research and education, with their proceeds going directly to benefit the aforementioned causes in Ecuador.
Plans are currently underway for the commencement of direct shipments from Tesoro’s de Colombia to Rana either late 2012 or early 2013. More information will be available regarding these shipments soon!
In addition to these wonderful Andean species we are also happy to add that our captive bred frogs of Costa Rican Amphibian Research Center will also be available to order through Rana. It is especially important to us to now have these frogs easily accessible to European collectors because Understory donates 50% of each sale to the CRARC.
While Rana will once again be the primary source for UE frogs in Northern Europe, we will also consider smaller shipments on a case by case basis to other shops to help further facilitate the acquisition of our frogs in Europe.
Don’t hesitate to contact us for further information.
