Mantella betsileo
Perhaps because of its common name, the brown Mantella , this frog is the most underappreciated of all the Mantella . We find it a bold and charismatic vivarium subject, handsomely adorned in shades of brown and yellow and black. This frog is always one of the first of our Mantella to begin reproducing every year, a sure sign that spring has arrived.
All the Mantellas we offer are captive bred at Understory Enterprises. Availability is best during the late fall and early winter months.
