Ameerega hahneli "Tahuayo"

These small Ameerga are abundant through the Amazonian lowlands of north eastern Peru.  they are hear before they are observed.  Males call frequently from slightly elevated positions.  They blend in well with the leaflitter.  Bold white lateral stripes and bright orange flashmarks are complimented by a nice marbled white/blue ventral region.  Do great communally in larger groups and with enough consideration of Terrarium size can be housed together with broadly sympatric ranitomeya or even larger species of Ameerega.
