There are dozens if not hundreds of unique colour morphs of this popular species spread throughout its range from Nicaragua to Panama.  These frogs are almost always bold in captivity and when captive bred usually quite hearty.  They are obligate egg feeders so supplies of captive bred animals are often very limited.
