Fulgora laterneria

This iconic Fulgorid, often known as the Peanut-headed lanternfly is distristributed broadly from Mexico to atleast the south of Peru.  This large insect achieves lengths commonly between 85-90 mm with massive wingspans frequently in excess of 130mm.  Our specimens are from Peru.
