Giant Amazon Land Snail Shell (M. popelarianus)

These monstrous hand sized shells often exceed the size of your hand.  At one time they were home to the heaviest land snail of the Amazon and possibly the world.  The shells are incredibly thick and heavy and not brittle as can be the case with giant african land snails.  Collected in Peru as empty shells.
